The Strata Titles Amendment Act, which came into effect on May 1st, has introduced new rules for meetings to allow attendance remotely. It will now be considered acceptable for members to attend via telephone, video link, internet connection or by similar means of remote communication providing it does not place an unreasonable burden on the Strata Company.
ESM’s choice of platform
After trying and testing multiple software platforms, ESM has elected to go with Cisco Webex. We have done so as its secure, easy to use and has numerous options for participants to join. We also like how it integrates with Microsoft Outlook calendar.
How will this work?
You will receive your notice and agenda as usual. If we have your email on file, you will also receive an invitation from ESM to attend the meeting via Webex. This email will detail how you can participate remotely. If you do not receive this invite, please contact us at meetings@esmstrata.com.au so that we can provide these details to you.

New Electronic Meeting Policy
ESM have created a policy relating to electronic meeting etiquette to assist with ensuring meetings can be conducted effectively and as smooth as possible.
We appreciate your compliance and ask that you please read this article before you attend an electronic meeting remotely.
Technical difficulties
As we are aware, there can be issues with the software, and occasionally there are technical issues.
Unfortunately, in some instances poor video quality, screens freezing, and audio problems cannot be helped. This could be the result of either parties internet connection and we ask that patience is shown while working through these issues.
